A good word is compromise. But even it is not always possible to find with some people. So what to do if the situation forces it?

There are several ways to help negotiate with people and come to an understanding

1. Actively listen to your interlocutor.

Show him or her your interest. Take note of what he is talking about. This way you increase the chances of reaching an agreement. Many people will be pleased that we really want to understand them, and they will more easily compromise.

2. Get into the problem and offer a solution.

Try to figure out where the interests of both sides coincide. Then you can find a solution that benefits everyone. After that, it will be much easier for you to come to an agreement with your interlocutor.

3. Pay attention to body language.

If the interlocutor begins to frown, wrinkle his forehead, or cross his arms, it could be a sign that he disagrees with your words.

4 Argue your position.

It is best to speak in terms of facts, not desires. Explain in terms of logic, why you should do exactly as you suggest.

5. Learn to communicate concisely. Don't make claims to your interlocutor. And if you're asked a question, focus on the answer, not additional comments.

6. Don't try to be the perfect person.

Be honest with yourself and your interlocutor. However, don't forget a sense of tact and respect for personal boundaries.

If you set out to negotiate with the other person, examine him first. Show confidence and a moderate persistence. But most importantly, do not go overboard. Otherwise it will have the opposite effect.
