How to love yourself: 5 easy steps

Living in harmony with oneself is the only way to true happiness. But sometimes the inner "I" is all negative emotions, and insecurity generously feeds complexes.
All because in childhood a child did not learn to love yourself. But to master this skill is never too late.
Unintentionally buried
Self-love is in every person. It is an innate, normal feeling at the level of the instinct of self-preservation, but more conscious. Some people feel it clearly, while others cannot detect it under the rubble of negative experiences:
- as a child was not praised for successes, but scolded for failures. Hence self-criticism, the inability to be proud of achievements;
- Parental attitudes did not leave self-esteem a chance: "you're stupid," "you'll be a janitor," and "don't stand out;
- complexes swarm to a vulnerable teenager, starting with appearance and ending with difficulties in determining their place in society.
To see the real you, you have to break through past experiences to the place where the feeling of "I am good, I am worthy" smolders. The main thing is not to succumb to the emotion that drowns common sense.
Step by step
It's smarter to act logically, as if solving some kind of problem. Bare facts are the best allies when it comes to introspection and personality realignment. And a positive attitude will help to understand, accept and love yourself.
1. talking frankly to the mirror is the first step to change. Speak out, shout out, cry out to your reflection all that you think about it. Write down the grievances, analyze them. Emotions crossed out, leave only the facts.
2. Portrait on paper - what is, is. There will always be someone better than the received description. Therefore, love must be unconditional - not for qualities or achievements, but just because. This must be accepted and remembered firmly.
3. The next step is to learn to entertain, to gift, to pamper yourself, even if you do not love yet. Through new acquaintances and hobbies, culinary experiments, good impressions and self-development.
The new experience will prove that the "unpleasant, boring, reserved person" can be anything and can experience all kinds of emotions. Attitudes toward "her" will begin to change for the better.
4. To consolidate the result a feeling of satisfaction from the achieved goals. They should be set all the time: to go to the sea, to read that book, to learn the language, to make repairs, to go snowboarding. The goals must be real, within your power.
5. Learn to take care of yourself - the final touch in the picture of a complete person. Appearance, hygiene, health, environment. All aspects of life that affect emotional and physical well-being are important.
Financial independence is very desirable. This goal may take years to achieve. But over time, feelings of security, self-esteem and confidence will only grow. And with them will blossom and love for yourself as a unique person.
